ANTIQUES | TEAROOMS | EVENTS
In the heart of the historic market town of Cranbrook with views of the famous Union Windmill.
Waterloo House Tearooms & Antiques is a thriving antiques centre, a tearoom serving wonderful cakes and daily specials made from locally sourced ingredients, a meeting place for local groups and a fabulous venue for events.
In our antiques centre you'll find a fantastic display of jewellery, furniture, objet d'art, small items, large items and so much more.
Just on the doorstep of Cranbrook's auction house we really have become a local focus for antiques.
Living in the Weald, we often take for granted how rural we truly are and how this yields such wonderful diverse produce.
Here at the Waterloo House Tearooms in Cranbrook, located a short stride away from Cranbrook's historical Union windmill, we appreciate the farmers around us and have incorporated local produce into our menus, from fresh milk and High Street butchered meat to local and in-house baked cakes, suitable for all dietary requirements including celiac and lactose intolerance.
Our A3 rated kitchen allows us to provide a seasonal menu with more choice in hot meals along with sandwiches and classic fried breakfasts all sourced within the high street.Local produce is not all to be found with us however as December brought with it a new opportunity to expand and offer a new retail variation for Cranbrook High Street.
Working with local antique traders whose joint experience in the industry boasts over a century. The Waterloo House Tearooms now hosts two floors of antiques to peruse, with opportunities for trading space still available within.
Since diversifying, The Waterloo House tearooms still has a hosting capability of 26 seats with a further outside seating of 12. Spread out over 3 floors in a mezzanine setting overlooking the retail section below.
We have been delighted to accommodate many groups over the last year and a half under new ownership. A fantastic addition being Cranbrook U3A who congregate weekly in a number of fantastic organised gatherings to expand both mind and social circles.
